2020 was an immensely challenging year for everyone with the devastating effects of Covid-19 worldwide, which put a significant dint in the economy and travel plans on hold.
Now that vaccines are being rolled out globally, the situation is steadily improving and there is great hope and positivity for the 2021 and 2022 cycling season's. We're building on this, committed to planning ahead and continuing to do what we're passionate about, designing amazing cycling experiences!
We recently took a huge step forward, by returning to the 2021 Tour de France where we successfully delivered several trips across the three week Grand Tour. It felt great to be back and is only the start of our comeback.
Here is our latest update on the Covid-19 situation and our new policies adapted to 'the new normal', ensuring that when travel resumes, we're ready to hit the ground running...
SPECIAL RISK-FREE POLICY
In response to the uncertainty surrounding global travel during the Covid-19 outbreak, we have now updated our booking policy . All complete tour bookings will receive a full credit of 100% of their funds paid to any tour offered by Mummu Cycling for 24 months.
FULLY REFUNDABLE PRE-RELEASE GUARANTEES
All of our 2021 tours now provide the option to place a 100% risk-free deposit that will secure your place on the given tour and ensure you receive all trip announcements prior to going live on our website and social channels, following the select event's Official 2021 route confirmation.
We strongly recommend this option given the absence of most of our tours this season and many of our 2020 guests transferring their bookings through to 2021 and 2022.
COVID-SAFE PROTOCOLS
The health and safety of our guests’ and staff on tour is our utmost priority. To adapt to the ‘new normal’, we have updated Covid-Safe protocols in place that will be applied to all Mummu Cycling tours, including; extra sanitisation, sufficient supply of disposable gloves, face masks and hand sanitiser for each client, reduced food handling by our team, confirmation of strict hygiene levels at all venues accessed during each trip and reduced human contact through riding and bike handling.
To add, all future tours will where possible lessen vehicle transport and when transfers are necessary, there will be a limited number of clients per vehicle to ensure ample space and distancing between each passenger.
For meals, we will have focus on small group dining in private spaces and meals will be portioned to ensure safe food handling.
We will also be highly proactive in updating these measures, so they meet the needs of the country we are touring and their given rules and regulations at the time of travel.
VIP ACCESS TO HOSPITALITY + RESTRICTED NUMBERS
Our VIP access to hospitality locations as an Official Tour Operator will not only guarantee we see the race action from the very best spots, it will also ensure our guests’ safety with extensive measures and health protocols in place before entry, and restricted numbers.
